5 Random Facts!

This is a tag where you tell 5 random facts about yourself... A fun way to get a little bit more personal ;)

This one has been going around on YouTube for a while now and I love watching them! I'm doing the blog version!

So here are 5 random little facts about me!

1
I love to draw.
I've been doing it ever since I could hold a pencil, and even befor that! When I was a baby I would even get my tiny fingers on damp windows and dirty plates!
Here are some of my more recent drawings.. (the one in the banner is mine too!)

2
I'm into bad boys...
No matter how hard I try, I always seem to fall for that better-off-without-him kinda guy! That's probably why my love life always feels like a dramatic soap opera... I get myself into trouble all-the-time, but I kinda like it that way ;)

3
I'm very nocturnal
Around 9PM is when I start to come alive! I stay up as long as possible, sleep in as long as possible and now even work in a club at night on weekends! I love it!
I love how Amsterdam looks at night with the street lights and bar signs.

4
I've got a belly button ring
I was obsessed with getting a belly button ring when I was 16! And so I did!
I know they're sooo over now, but I still love mine! It can look very trashy but I keep mine subtle and classy with this tiny golden square stoned one.

5
I always have Discovery Cannel on.
I do occasionally change channel for some Gray's Anatomy, but I love my Dirty Jobs, Extreme Engeneering, Human Body, Mithbusters, Miami Ink (for my bad boy fix), How It's Made and documentaries about whatever!
Yes, I'm a nerd :)

And thats 5!
I tag everyone who would like to do this one!

Too Pretty To Buy

Was just looking around on online shops a bit.. And found theese stunning shoes.

They're Burberry wich means I can't afford them, and I wonder if I would actually wear platforms that high anyway..
But they're really something to look at :) Beautiful!

Testing the Buffer! For longer lasting nailpolish!

A while ago I watched a video by TiffanyD on YouTube, about making your manicure last longer. Her tip was to use a nail buffer that makes your nails shiny, befor applying nailpolish!

It smooths out the surface of your nails, what makes the polish grip better?? I don't really know how it works but it made her nailpolish stay on much longer!

My polish always chips sooo fast so I went on the hunt for a nail buffer and found this one:

Impulss Matt & Smooth Surface

This one is specialy made to use befor applying false nails or polish. It doesnt make your nails shiny, but makes the surface matt to make the polish grip ever better (??)

I wanted to test if this really makes your polish last longer. So I buffed the nails on one hand, and left the other unbuffed.
You can see a clear difference. All the ridges are buffed smooth and it left a matt finish.

Then I applied, like normal 2 layers of pink polish, and a topcoat.

products I used:
B'Box nailpolish in 134
Sally Hanson Doudle Duty base & topcoat
(only use it as basecoat with dark polish)

There is no big difference in how the polish looks with or without buffing, but on the buffed hand the polish was a lot easyer/smoother to apply. Becouse of that I think the buffed hand looks a bit better and less streaky!

Now I'm just gong to wear the polish for a few days and see if the buffed hand stays chipfree!

I'll post the results soon!

BACK with an Outfit Of The Night!

So I'm back!

I've been non-blogging for a while becouse of the bussy hollidays, a lot of school work, money making work, and just plain lazyness :)

enough with the excuses, here is my OOTN!

My nerd-self would like to call this look The Studded Kitten!

What I'm wearing:

croped studded bazer: CoolCat

sequin panther vest: Clockhouse

very old gray jeans: Zara

studded booties: Van Haren

I inspired this winged eyeliner look on Lorraine from TheCurrentCust0m on YouTube

How I did the makeup:

  • glittery gray/toupe eyeshadow all over the lid (dont go over the crease)
  • dark gray eyeshadow in the outer corner and crease
  • light cream eyeshadow as highlighter on browbone, in inner corner and on lower lashline
  • black eyeliner winged out and pulled in a little bit too far into the inner corner (to give it that cat-look)
  • white eyeliner on my waterline
  • black mascara, only on top lashes
And some Pictures of that night:

Review: Lush Herbalism and Angels On Bare Skin

I've been using Lush's skincare products for a while now, so I tought I would tell u what I think of them!

I'm reviewing Herbalism and Angels On Bare Skin facewashes in one post becouse they're kind of similar in use and I wanted to compair the results and effects.

Angels On Bare Skin

Description:
For heavenly soft and balanced skin. The kaolin clay base deep cleanses while ground almonds gently exfoliate the dead skin away. Rose and lavender are added to soothe and help balance out combination skin. A great daily cleanser for all skin types.

What I think:
Well almost the same as the description! It really made my skin soft and clean feeling. The only thing is that this one is a little bit too rich for me. It's really nice for combination/dry skin, but after using it for a while I noticed I got more blackheads and a few break outs. Noting bad, but I need something a little less rich.

Wich brought me to this one:

Herbalism

Description:
This one is specifically designed to help absorb excess oils and leave the skin looking less shiny, making it great for skin on the oily side. We put calming rose and chamomile in to soothe and ground almonds for a gentle exfoliation, helping clear up troubled spots.

What I Think:
I loooove this one! It does everything it says. Most acne products I used dried me out and made my brake outs worse, but this one balances my skin out perfectly!

How I use it:
It is a kind of weird product to use though... Most cleansers are liquid or a bar of soap, this is a crumbly mud. So you have to use a specific technique if you don't want this to end up all over the bathroom floor instead of your face..

You'll need Lush's Herbalism.
Seriously?! Yes.

Take a coin sized dot.

Mix it with a few drops of water into a paste.

Press a washcloth with hot water on your skin to dampen it and open up pores.
Massage the paste into your skin, and yes, It'll look like some kind of moss is growing on your face.
Wash off with water.

Now apply a toner and moisturizer!
I'll review the ones I use some time soon!

Hong Kong order!

A while ago I orderd a few things from the website YesStyle. An online shop that sells... well anything!

I'm not an online order kind of girl though... I like to try on, feel, sniff and get my hands on stuff befor I commit to spending money on it. But sometimes I just can't find what I want in local stores... And this website has ALOT of stuff.

I picked outs theese 3 things:

A bag!
(BoynMen Tote Bag 56)
I've been searching for a plain yet stylish black bag and that was surprisingly hard to find!
This one i found in the mens section!
It has a combination of black/gray-ish chunky woven cotton and black leather.
I love texture combinations like that.

Booties!
(Wifky Boots 53)
Yes I know... Fake UGGS...
I liked the leater look of theese. Just a little different than what everyone else has.

A Christmas Dress!
(PUFFY Deer Dress
27)
I wanted something fun to wear for christmas this year :)
This reminded me of the traditional deer jumpers grandma's knit for you for chrismas!

And becouse spend over a sertain amout of money I got free shipping and a free gift!! Yey!

NYE Dresses

So it's party month December, and I plan to party indeed!

The party I'm always most excited about is New Years Eve! I's The one party a year you can really dress up and not look overdressed! (Up here anyway... If there's a place in this world where you can always dress like this, please tell me :)

I'm wearing a mini dress and high heels! And off course I want a new dress, just for the occasion! (I'm such a girl... )

I do have a budget, so finding a perfect dress within that budget is kind of a challange. But theese are some dresses I found on online stores that I love.

I like a simple little black dress with an interresting detail. I'm still on the hunt though.. So if you have any suggestions??

New Shoes!

Just a quick post about the booties I bought last week.

I saw theese on Kim's blog: All About The Style. I couldn't resist.. I had to buy them!

I'm obsessed with black and studs lately so they fit right into my collection! They're easy to walk in even though they're kind of high. Nice to make a everyday outfit a little bit more interesting! :)

Artdeco Eyeshadow Base

I while ago I bought some Artdeco Makeup, and I kind of really like this brand! It doesn't cost much and has just a little bigger viarety of products then others brands in this price range.

For exsample the Eyeshadow Base.

What is says:
"Eyeshadow base considerably inproves the durability, colour intensity and luminescence of powder eye shadow and makes it waterproof. With vitamin E and bisabolol."

And it really does all of that!
My makeup stays on all day and I even need an oil-based makeup remover to get it off at night! (wich makes the waterproof part true!) I'm guessing the last two are for caring and anti-aging of the skin, so thats always good.

I've seen people compair it with Urban Decay Primer Potion and Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
And considering I only paid about 6/7 euro's for this, thats pretty good!!

The only down side for me is that it has glitter in it... Not a lot, but it does show up through my matte eyeshadows...

It doesn't really matter though, I haven't worn my eyeshadow without this since I first used it, and won't ever again!
