Testing the Buffer! For longer lasting nailpolish!

A while ago I watched a video by TiffanyD on YouTube, about making your manicure last longer. Her tip was to use a nail buffer that makes your nails shiny, befor applying nailpolish!

It smooths out the surface of your nails, what makes the polish grip better?? I don't really know how it works but it made her nailpolish stay on much longer!

My polish always chips sooo fast so I went on the hunt for a nail buffer and found this one:

Impulss Matt & Smooth Surface

This one is specialy made to use befor applying false nails or polish. It doesnt make your nails shiny, but makes the surface matt to make the polish grip ever better (??)

I wanted to test if this really makes your polish last longer. So I buffed the nails on one hand, and left the other unbuffed.
You can see a clear difference. All the ridges are buffed smooth and it left a matt finish.

Then I applied, like normal 2 layers of pink polish, and a topcoat.

products I used:
B'Box nailpolish in 134
Sally Hanson Doudle Duty base & topcoat
(only use it as basecoat with dark polish)

There is no big difference in how the polish looks with or without buffing, but on the buffed hand the polish was a lot easyer/smoother to apply. Becouse of that I think the buffed hand looks a bit better and less streaky!

Now I'm just gong to wear the polish for a few days and see if the buffed hand stays chipfree!

I'll post the results soon!

tiny update:

the non-buffed hand is starting to fade at the edges! But no real difference yet..
