I heard alot about the Mac Studio Finish Concealer! Many people said it was their staple concealer, never found one that's better etc... etc... So off course I wanted to try it! Got myself into a mac store and the Mac guy matched me to the colour NW15. The lightest pink shade.
This is where it went wrong...
Too Light - The Mac guy applied it under my eyes and probably thought it looked nice if it was a little lighter then my own skintone, becouse.... NW15 is way too light for me!! When I got home and tried it on a spot, I saw a very visible light dot on my face... I tried to blend it in, but then the redness becomes visible again! *sigh...
Oily/dry skin - On oily skin, it doesn't stay in place... especially under my eyes it gets into my fine lines. I also get dry patches around the places I brake out, and it only enhanced the flakiness of my skin! Either way, it end up looking cakey.
High expectations - I might expected too much of Mac, becouse a while ago I got a really cheap Catrice concealer that I -now- find pretty comparable! It has the same coverage and the staying power might even be a little better! The only bad thing is that it's a bit more powdery (dry) then the Mac. It was €3, so I thought the Mac, that was €16, should be alot better!
Catrice Allround Concealer - has 5 shades. A light, medium and dark. And also a pink one for undereye circles and a green for redness. The medium shade matches me perfectly now, but I can mix them for when I get lighter or darker. (swatches below)

all Catrice shades
So overall a disappointing experiance with Mac :(
Maybe the only problem is that the shade is wrong... or am I doing something wrong?? Maybe I'm appying it wrong? Or does someone have the same problems, and knows a diffrent concealer that might work?
Help please! :)
