the Bold vs. the Beautiful

I could't choose today...
Metalic blue (the bold), or a soft pink (the beautiful)
:)

Each others opposed, but both nice in theire own way!
I'm more of a soft pink kind of girl though.. I think..

More Fall Items

So I got some more Fall items!
Its getting a little chilly up here so I need to be weather proof.

Excuse the artsy picture :)

If this necklace from Accessorize doesn't say Fall, I don't know what does...
I've been wanting it for a while but hesitated becouse it looks so fragile, and was scared to brake it.. (still are) But I had some birthday money to spend so.. here it is :)

It's an actual leaf skeleton! One from a real tree! Coated with a leayer of (fake) gold.
I love how it's transparant!!

Another cardigan!
A simple long black one. Its longer in the front and short in the back, what makes it simple but not boring :)
Still figuring out what kind of jacket to wear on this one though... Is it weird to wear a short jacket with the long flaps sticking out underneath?

And the shoes I'm wearing in the picture!
Theese aren't new... I got them about 2 years ago at Zara but I still love them to death!

Jacket Sinner

This year I'm on the hunt for a beautiful winter coat. I haven't found a good one in years. Partly couse I'm always too late and everything is already sold out, and partly becouse of my taste... I just don't like that 'puffy' look. And the kind of things I do like are shockingly expencive! 1300 euro for a Dsquared jacket? No..

Soo I've been wearing leather jackets all year round. This year I'd do better!

Well... I guess I'll never change, couse when I went looking for a winter coat this week, I bought theese...

A Zara studded jacket

oke, this one isn't even Fall-proof, but there were only 2 left!

I knew I would regret not buying it..

And this jeans jacket
I love theese kind of biker/pilot style jackets
It kinda looks like a guy's jacket, but it fits really snug, so the womanly curves show ;)

So yeah... no winter coat yet, but I'm not giving up!
Anyone has any recommendations? Let me know!

Lush!

Oke, so don't get too excited... I only bought one item!
Coalface facial cleanser! And I got a random sample of Veganese conditioner.

I'm a Lush newbie.. I do remember buying gifts for friends at Lush years ago, but found it too expensive for a everyday product, so I never bought any for myself (aahhww)

But lately, since the whole YouTube and blog thing, I've been hearing soo much good stuff about Lush! A while ago I bought Honey I washed the kids, loved it, and wanted more! So after seeing this video made by the lovely Glintzy, I knew I wanted to try Coalface!

I've been struggling with my skin ever since I hit puberty. I'm now almost 22 and still haven't found the perfect solution to my acne prone skin... The idea of using a natural product sounds really good!

Coalface is a soothing liquorice & charcoal cleansing bar. Really good for oily acne prone skin.! I'm going to use it for while and then do a review about how it's working for me!

It's definitely not the last thing that I'm going to buy from Lush! Here's a list of stuff I want to try out:
  • All of the facial cleansers (yeah, thats gonna take a while..)
  • Tea Tree Water (toner)
  • Mask of Magnaminty (mask)
  • Big (shampoo)
And theese soaps becouse I love their earthy smell:
  • Porridge
  • Sultana of Soap
  • Figs and Leaves
What's your favorite Lush product?? Any recommendations??

Basic Nail Care

This is a simple way to keep your nails looking healthy! It's what I do whenever I'm going to polish my nails, or just all I do when I want to go neutal.

The tools and products I use:
A glass (cristal) nail file
I got this a while ago becouse my nails where peeling, braking and looking awfull. A glass nail file has a really fine structure, so it's gentle but effective! It smoothly files your nails into shape and almost seals them, what helps with the peeling.
It is more expensive, but it's supposed t last 10 times longer then any other kind of file, and it's hygienic (even dishwasher save!)

A moisturizer
It's importand to keep your nails moisturized. When they are dry, they're more likely to brake, peel, stuff like that..
Every time I take off my nailpolish, I leave them bare for one day, and rub in Nivea Creme several times. I really noticed a big difference since doing this!

A "caring" nailpolish
I use a whitener becouse my nails are pretty yellow... (dark polish, self tanner) It doesn't really whiten my nails, but it has a blue-ish tone to it, to cancle out the yellow. And it just happens to strengthen my nails too! I use it as a base or on its own for the natural look (picture above)

So here's my photo! It's actually the 11th, but the 10th was just the blurry verion of this...
A few weeks ago I visited my dad who had rented a bungalow somewhere in the middle of nowhere. My sister and I stayed for the weekend and we made a little trip to this lake!
The most interesting about this piture is actualy hardly visible, but there were wild flamingo's up there!(if you click to enlarge, you can kind of see the pink spots) It was sooo funny seeing theese pink excotic birds in this cold, grey lake, somewhere in the Netherlands....

Fall Essencial

Fall really suits me! Bright summer colours and short legwear looks a bit awkward on me, so I'm always happy to check out the new Fall collection!

Sooo I went to Zara a few days ago, and I saw this knitted cardigan!

It doesn't need much explaining.. It's just one of those essencials!
And I love it!

Homemade Beach in a Bottle

New haircut!!
I rally needed a fresh hairdo, my hair was way too long, the ends looked really sad and volume was nowhere to be seen..

So I went to the Tony & Guy and I love the results! Lots of volume with keeping most of the length!
The girl from Tony & Guy used the Sea Salt spray from the Label.M Line on me and I really liked the beachy waves it gave me, but it was kind of expensive for a bottle of salty water.. So I started looking online, and found that you can easily make it yourself!

All you need is a empty spray bottle, Sea Salt and water! For 8oz of water you need 1 teaspoon of sea salt. Boil the water, add the salt, stir untill dissolved, let it cool and pour into spray bottle!

So here's my freshly cut coupe!
Befor the sea salt spray...

after the sea salt spray!

It really does give me that "just been to the beach" volume! I call it my Beach in a Bottle (Yes I know, I'm a dork)

Salt does dry out your hair a little, thats why it makes it messy and big! But the girl at Tony & Guy said that the salt doesn't get absorbed by your hair. So if you use a moisturizing shampoo to wash it out, and a leave in conditioner, you should be fine!

Miss Sporty Nail Polish

My mom is a real nail polish fanatic! So a while ago she came home with theese! Some pink/purple Miss Sporty nail polishes. They don't have names but numbers..

from left to right:
230, 70, 241, 320 and 340

The first 3 pink ones are really sheer, but I especially like the second gold/coraly one on my toes. 3 layers makes it less sheer, but on my fingers the tips still show trough after 3 layers, so toes only!

the last 2 are cream finishes, pretty pigmented and look oke after 2 layers!
I'm wearing the last one, #340 in this picture! I love the colour (I'm calling it the eggplant shade), but don't take the "up to 7 days' too seriously.. I had it on for one day now and the tips are starting to fade..

But they're nice and cheap and I love the colours. I'm on the hunt for the Seche Vite top cote to make them last longer and a ridge filler to make them look better!

Hot Day FOTD

So just a quick FOTD post!

It was a really hot, damp day today. And I just don't want to ware any havy makeup on my face on days like this... So all I did was some powder foundation, and some browns on my eyes!

FACE
Maybelline Mineral Pure.Cover concealer
Maybelline Mineral Powder Pure.Foundation
Tip!
For a really narural effect, use a slightly too dark powder foundation as a bronzer on cheeks and T-zone and a lighter concealer on under eyes and eyelids. It makes you look nicely shaped and awake!

EYES
Maybelline Mineral Pure.Cover concealer (all over lid up to eyebrows)
MAC, Sable (outer corner, creace and lower lashline)
Rimmel Kohl Pencil, 011 sable brown
GOSH Kohl eye liner, white
a random brown mascara

LIPS
nothing... maybe a balm during the day

The Good Morning Effect! I love white eyeliner on my waterline and some in my inner corner! It makes the all brown makeup look a little less boring!

white eyeliner/no white eye liner
See the difference? It's subtle but it really makes my eyes stand out! It gives that "fresh" look

(sorry for the blurry shots.. I had to use my phone)
